Oh god, this is exciting, a trailer has just been released for a new documentary that is going to be the next big step for EDM. Regeneration is the new project which will be pairing 5 major DJ's with artists of other contemporary genres to produce music together. The groups so far are: Skrillex and the remaining members of The Doors to do rock, Pretty Lights and Ralph Stanley to do country, The Crystal Method who will be doing R&B with Martha Reeves, DJ Premier and The Berklee School of Music Orchestra and the rapper Nas who are to produce a classical track, and Mark Ronson teamed up with Erykah Badu, Trombone Shorty, and members of the Dap Kings to create a jazz track. These are going to be some fascinating collabs I can already tell. We'll keep you all updated on the progress of the documentary and any previews/clips that we can snag. Here is the official trailer.
